Mountain lions are adaptable to a broad range of habitats such as mountains, forests, deserts and canyons. Mountain Lion Media is an alliance of independent filmmakers with a broad and adaptable range of skills focussed on distilling engaging narratives from complex scientific and social problems. For example, our expert knowledge of land restoration for nature’s recovery be it rewilding or regenerative farming can help land based revival projects to establish their brand locally or gain traction to reach bigger audiences beyond their local sphere.

Founder
Charlie has a broad range of experience in film and television production. He is a naturalist with a profound understanding of the natural world, something he is able to convey through meaningful story. Genres include factual and natural history content production, corporate film, expedition led story-telling, music videos, drama, cutting-edge sport and live television outside broadcasting events. He has had a varied career spanning 15 years in land restoration and film/television, with a further 10 years in corporate event management & marketing working with a range of big brands and talent.
He has a wealth of knowledge, contacts and connections to call upon to achieve almost any creative project. As a highly creative and big picture system thinker he can help with strategy, whilst also paying attention to important detail. He offers refreshing solutions to problems that can help develop a project beyond the scope of just film to help you evolve with industry trajectories and future proofing with sustainable outcomes in mind.

A deep network on call
Mountain Lion Media has a wealth of connections to freelance researchers, producers, editors and post-production specialists. Many of these have been working in film and television for 20+ years. Once a project is contractually agreed we will lock down the right team with the specialist skills required to achieve a particular project.
Recent Project
Telling the story of a ground-breaking agroecology project focussing on finding a balance between food production and nature’s recovery.
Over the next 30 years the project will be tracking the evolution of scientific data as it transitions from former intensive arable practices to a regenerative mixed farming system approach managing marginal habitats to help support biodiversity and rebuilding life in worn out soils.
A new reel is in the works, featuring timelapses, natural history, and strong cinematography distilled into one piece. Check back soon.
